Job Summary:

Reporting to: Supply Chain Supervisor

Type: Full-time

Pay: $18-$40/Hour

Experience: 5-10 years of experience in purchasing and/or gas engine and compressor parts

We are seeking a Parts Representative/Purchaser to join our client's team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in our supply chain operations, ensuring the procurement of parts from assigned vendors while maintaining high customer service standards. Additionally, you will collaborate on various projects as required.

Our ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of supply chain processes, inventory management, procurement, and sourcing, particularly within the gas compression industry.

Responsibilities:

• Execute basic purchasing, receiving, and inventory transactions using our computer system (training will be provided).
• Ensure vendor compliance with company regulations, including documentation.
• Oversee and review open purchase orders.
• Address and resolve purchasing-related issues.
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently when necessary.
• Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
• Uphold a professional demeanor.
• Foster and maintain positive relationships with vendors.
• Communicate and provide support to various departments.
• Manage resource and supply availability and scheduling.
• Handle multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Parts Manager.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, the individual must satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The qualifications below are indicative of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Preferably, possess experience in the gas compression field.
• Proficiency in time management and task organization.
• Familiarity with purchasing processes, including purchase orders, sourcing, and shipping or transfer orders.
• Experience with inventory software and computer skills are advantageous.
• Ability to pass all drug-related tests.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Possession of a valid driver's license with a commendable driving record.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED
• 5-10 years of purchasing experience, preferably in gas engine and compressor parts
• Experience with Diesel Engines and Industrial generators is a plus

Language Skills:

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to respond to inquiries or concerns from customers, suppliers, and colleagues.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in general computer skills, with the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook efficiently.

Physical Demands: The following physical requirements are typical for this position: Occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds.
